WHERE next?

1) Carbon Management

Prioritise.

Tracking your Three CCCs is an essential start… but then what? Once you know where your major carbon emitters are, how will you manage them?

You list them, rank them, then control them - just like ‘quality’ or ‘environment’. Under an ISO 9001 quality management system, or an ISO 14001 environmental management system, you build a register of key aspects, identify the significant ones, then act to continually improve them.

The Three CCCs Manager does exactly that for carbon. From your baseline review, you build up a register of “carbon aspects”, then continually quantify, prioritise, reduce… start with the Actions from your Baseline.

Inspect.

While all this is happening, management needs to be able to see how well it’s working. So the Three CCCs Manager provides a “dashboard”. It’s accessible on a click at any time. It gives you an overview, at four levels of detail and scope…

2) Carbon Legislation

New carbon regulations are now live. The new CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme affects far more businesses than the decade-old Climate Change Agreements and EU Emissions Trading Scheme. The new Regs fix a 'per tonne' price on carbon emissions, and impose extra costs on poor performance - or non-submission of data.

The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme currently applies to around 5,000 UK organizations, but will certainly be extended to apply to far more businesses over the coming years… the Three CCCs Compliance Tool helps you report and comply.
